Why Register?

Registration for the Eat Local Food website is intended for owners and operators of local food businesses or businesses that offer resources to local food businesses. Once you’ve registered an account, you’ll have the ability to add your location(s) to our Food Atlas, and edit them whenever you like. You’ll also be able to choose if you’d like to be listed in our print publications.

Who Can List on the Atlas?

We are committed to serving our community, and promoting businesses that are doing their best for people, planet, and profit. We ask that:

Each farm or fisher listed in the Atlas pledges that it:

  • Is locally owned and operated in Whatcom or Skagit county
  • Sells products that they have grown or helped produce on their farm, or fish that they have caught in Washington, Canada or Alaska.

Each food business listed in the Atlas pledges that it:

  • Is locally owned and operated in Whatcom or Skagit county, or is a partner member of Sustainable Connections
  • Purchases from at least 2 local producers in Whatcom or Skagit county
  • Pledges to shift 10% of their food budgets to more local products

Each business resource listed in the Atlas pledges that it:

  • Serves local food & farm businesses in Whatcom or Skagit counties

Each organization listed in the Atlas pledges that it:

  • Is a non-profit organization whose mission is to contribute to a sustainable regional food system
  • Will link to the Food Atlas on their organization’s website
