About Us
Vets on the Farm is designed for veterans seeking a new mission and a way to transition back into civilian life through careers in agriculture, farming, ranching or other conservation-based industries. Our mission is to provide resources and opportunities for education, partnership, and employment to help reach that goal. Our farmstand is a celebration of our hard-working veterans. Come on out to the farm!
Growing & Operating Practices
At Vets on the Farm, we follow organic principles and practices, although we are not certified organic. We utilize switching low-till cultivation and hand cultivation. We have a farm stand that includes two greenhouses for season extension and we also service many areas around Spokane with our refrigerated truck Big Dena. All of our produce is grown by veterans who have transitioned to civilian life by choosing farming as a new mission.
