About Us
Our Mission
“To promote the wise use of renewable natural resources within Stevens County”
The Stevens County Conservation District is a non-regulatory agency. Our goal is to develop and implement voluntary programs to protect and conserve soil, water, farmland, rangeland, forests, wildlife, and other renewable resources throughout the district. We provide technical and financial assistance to landowners within the district boundaries who have natural resource concerns or problems. We also provide educational assistance to schools and organizations within Stevens County.
Our Objective
The prime purpose of conservation districts are to promote the wise use of natural resources and the benefits of conservation. Districts help to secure technical and educational assistance, as well as planning and coordinating with farmers, agricultural agencies, and business and civic organizations in getting locally-driven voluntary conservation solutions on the land.
