Homemade.
Old Soul Bread Co operates under a Cottage Food license from the Washington State Department of Agriculture. This means that you get homemade, artisan breads all made by hand - at home and from the heart.

Fresh ingredients.
Not only is our bread fresh, but so are our ingredients. Did you know that as soon as grains are milled, their nutritional value begins to decline? All of our whole grain flours are milled quite literally "in-house" -- resulting in peak flavor and nutrition in our whole grain flours.

Regionally sourced.
As a farm girl herself, Karla is committed to supporting local farmers and producers. We source our ingredients regionally whenever possible. Current and former local Pacific Northwest businesses we have purchased our ingredients from include:

Fairhaven Mills
Palouse Brand grains
Darigold
Dungeness Valley Creamery
Slow bread.
Many of our breads undergo a long fermentation process of several hours or days. This extended fermentation not only makes the breads more flavorful, but it may make them easier for you to digest. You are also likely to find that this process also helps keep our bread fresh for a longer time - though you may eat them too quickly to notice!

Not sold in stores
Cottage Food permits do not allow for selling products wholesale. That means you can only buy our products directly from us!

1% for charity
We are a Social Purpose Corporation. What is that? Basically, it means we can put a social purpose above the purpose of making profits. As part of our mission, one percent of our gross sales are donated to hunger relief organizations in Washington State.
