About Us

The Pickering family has owned and operated Novelty Hill Farm since 1884. Originally a dairy farm, we now produce pumpkins, hay, and a variety of vegetables. Open to the public only seasonally, but we offer private venue rentals in our barns for your gatherings year-round!
We offer U-pick blackberries in August- wild blackberry bushes abound on our farm, and they produce the yummiest fruit! We do not use herbicides or pesticides, so you can rest assured that you are getting the best and healthiest fruit possible.
Fall is the best time of year on the farm, and we like to celebrate with family fun for everyone! We offer Fall Fun Fest during October: a pumpkin patch, corn maze, trike track, hay mow, corn crib, farm critters, snacks, and gathering spaces for your party! Come visit us and join in the farm experience! Free admission and dog-friendly (on leash).
We also sell pre-cut Christmas trees for a roughly ten-day season after Thanksgiving. Come enjoy some hot cocoa while you explore our 1930's barns, shop local arts and crafts vendors, and find your perfect tree! We offer wreaths, swags, garland, Christmas decorations, and more!
Or stay the night on the farm! Pitch your tent under the Hawthorne trees in the fields. Enjoy a campfire and picnic tables. Watch our pumpkin and corn crops grow, and our cows grazing! On a clear day you may see Mount Rainier to the South. An easy 2-mile bike or walk to downtown Duvall for coffee, dinner, shopping, or ice cream.
