About Us
Emergency Food Network’s Mother Earth Farm is an 8-acre organic farm located in the beautiful Puyallup Valley. The farm distributes more than 120,000 pounds of fresh fruit, vegetables, and herbs annually to Pierce County food pantries and meal sites. Food from the farm is typically available to our neighbors in need within 24-hours of harvest. All of the food grown on the farm is directly donated to food banks; we do not sell our produce! It would not be possible to provide this fresh food option to our neighbors in need without the help of volunteers. In the spring and summer, volunteers at the farm assist with seeding, weeding, composting, and irrigation. In addition, volunteers are welcome to bring a lunch and enjoy the picnic area before or after their volunteer session. Emergency Food Network provides 14.4 million pounds of healthy, nutritious food annually to 71 food pantries, hot meal sites and shelters for distribution to families and individuals in need. That includes the average of 120,000lbs of organically grown produce produced at Mother Earth Farm.
