About Us
Joy Farm is a small family farm in Sequim, Washington.
The farm is powered by a team of Belgian draft horses, responsible for all aspects of field management from plowing, discing, and harrowing, to cultivation and helping with the harvest of certain crops.
Farmers Balyn and Elli Rose use sustainable practices that apply ecological processes to their farming systems. Years of experience growing organic food for their local community has shaped their use of soil and fertility management practices, including crop rotations, interplanting, seasonal cover crops, mulches, and select inputs that enhance the mineral content and biological activity of the soil. You can taste the results in the food harvested from their fields.
“We are grateful for the opportunity to grow healthy food for our community in the fertile soils and living water provided by the Dungeness River. Thank you!”
