About Us

Ferry Boat Seeds grows and cleans vegetable and flower seeds on contract for seed retailers in the Pacific Northwest and throughout the United States. Productive agriculture starts with good seed! We work hard to carefully steward the unique and diverse plant varieties entrusted to our care and turn them into clean, disease-free seed that will support the success of growers all over the country. We are proud to be part of the organic seed community. Most of our production is certified organic and takes place at our 17-acre farm on San Juan Island among beetle banks and plantings of native wildflowers. We are also proud to be part of the dynamic community of farmers in San Juan County, several of whom grow seed with us.

Wholesale Info

Ferry Boat Seeds grows and cleans specialty seed on contract, both certified organic and conventional. With in-house expertise in plant breeding and genetics, Ferry Boat Seeds can help with variety testing, development and maintenance. We often grow foundation and stock seed and can currently accommodate lots up to two acres in size. We have experience producing a wide variety of crop species and collaborate with other growers in San Juan County to obtain additional isolations when necessary. Whatever the crop, we would love to talk to you about your project.
