About Us

Eagle Haven Winery is located just 10 minutes off of I-5, east of Sedro-Woolley in the Upper Skagit Valley, Washington. Eagle Haven crafts outstanding small batch, artisan wines using estate apples, pears and grapes. When we can't use estate grown fruit, we source from local farms and use Washington grapes.
The orchard started as a hobby by Tom Perkins in 1968. By 1972, there were 7 different varieties of apples; by 1985 the farm had grown to 41 acres of apples and pears... a total of 18,000 trees.
Jim Bill Perkins, along with his dad Tom, Fred Vochatzer, and original winemaker Chuck Jackson, added the winery in 2000. The tasting room was built from an old barn in 2004 where it has continued to be an inviting space for all ages of visitors.
In 2016, Darrell Drummond, a longtime friend, joined Jim Bill in the winery business. Around the same time that Darrell came on-board, the wines began to be made by our new and current wine maker, Mark Hulst.
Sadly , in January of 2019 we lost our founder and friend, Jim Bill. The changes and updates that are happening at Eagle Haven and Perkins Variety Apples are done with the thought of "What would Jim Bill do?"
Visit our tasting room where our friendly and knowledgeable staff will take your taste buds on a trip. Kick back in the Wine Garden or take a stroll through the vineyard and orchard.
