About Us
Weekly Wednesdays 3 to 7pm, May 3 through Oct 11, and monthly second Saturdays in winter/spring, 10am to 2pm. The Columbia City Farmers Market is in the center of the most diverse zip code in the country, with offerings as varied as its regulars. Asian greens, Ethiopian fare, fresh herbs and hot peppers – tons of seasonal fruits, vegs, meats, dairy, plus a great choice of local food vendors. The Market’s proximity to the Columbia City light rail station makes it a convenient stop for Wednesday evening commuters, and its scenic footprint cascading into Columbia Park is the perfect spot for dinner-time picnics with friends and family.
Though the Columbia City Farmers Market is now a part of the Neighborhood Farmers Markets, we have Karen Kinney to thank for establishing it in 1998. Join us weekly on Wednesday evenings 3 to 7 pm May to early October, and on second Saturdays (monthly) in Nov, Dec, Jan, Feb, Mar and April, 10am to 2pm.
The Neighborhood Farmers Market’s mission is to support Washington State farmers and food artisans, and to increase local food access in Seattle neighborhoods. Our seven Seattle farmers markets are producer-only (no brokers or re-sellers), and feature food and agricultural products: seasonal fruits and vegetables, dairy, poultry, meats, seafood, ciders, wines, cut flowers, as well as preserved/processed and prepared foods. For full information about each of our markets, please visit our website, and subscribe to our weekly “Ripe and Ready” newsletter! You can also find info on how to buy gift certificates and how to donate to support our work, on our website seattlefarmersmarkets.org. We are a local, community-based 501c3 charitable organization registered with the Secretary of State.
