About Us
Casa Cano Farms is a vegetable, pork, and beef farm with a spring nursery in Valleyford, WA. We use organic and regenerative methods to grow produce and raise our livestock. Our livestock is raised naturally, without antibiotics, hormones, or medication. Our beef is grass-fed and finished, and our cows eat no-spray hay in the winter time when they aren't on pasture. Our pork eats non-GMO feed milled just a few miles from our farm, and lots of garden extras.
Casa Cano Farms offers weekly and bi-weekly CSA's June through October.
Our Farm Store is open year round - stop by and shop or order online for grab & go pick up.
In the spring, we have veggie starts, bedding plants, herbs, and hanging baskets in our greenhouse for sale April - June.
We also have U-Pick Strawberries and Cut Flowers! Strawberry season usually begins in June and Cut Flowers in July. Please check our website for more info.
Both Madyson and Jorge, the owner-operators of Casa Cano Farms, are from Spokane, studied Sustainable Food and Farming at the University of Montana, and are passionate about growing good, nutritious food for their community.
Growing & Operating Practices
We grow with the health of our farm ecosystem as our focus and believe that a healthy farm yields healthy and delicious food. We practice organically in the garden, use no-till methods, and our own compost, compost tea, and organic amendments for micronutrients.
We raise our livestock with love and care, providing them a healthy, good life and them providing us healthy meat. We use regenerative rotational grazing methods, and feed no-spray hay in the winter.
We grow organically in our Spring Nursery, with all of our annual, herb, and vegetable starts being started in our greenhouse (we sometimes bring in new varieties of rooted plants, but this is minimal).
