Things You Never Knew About Your Veggies | Oxbow Workshop

July 22, 2023 @ 2:00 PM - 3:30 PM

Free

From basil to squash, Mi Ae Lipe, author of Bounty from the Box: The CSA Farm Cookbook, will show you how to make the most of your favorite produce from your Oxbow Farm Share boxes and farm stand.

You’ll learn about unexpected food pairings and taste combinations that surprise and delight. And you’ll discover fun facts about each crop as well as enjoy sample bites. We’ll have fun and lots of interaction!

Mi Ae Lipe is the author of two self-published cookbooks: Tastes from Valley to Bluff: The Featherstone Farm Cookbook (2007) and Bounty from the Box: The CSA Farm Cookbook (2015). Both books bridge the gap between farmers and eaters, serving as indispensable how-to manuals for community-supported agriculture (CSA) boxes and farmers market produce. Signed books will be available for purchase.

Accessibility

Oxbow has accessible parking and restrooms. If you have specific questions about accessibility, please reach out at events@oxbow.org.
