Raclette Night with Street Cheese & the B-Town Silent Book Club

Mobile cheese shop Street Cheese is excited to partner with the B-Town Silent Book Club for their second-ever event, this time at Logan Brewing in Burien.

Silent Book Clubs host events where anyone can bring a book to read at a public space. The group meets up, everyone has about 30 minutes to settle in (get a drink or a snack, fire up your Kindle, etc.), the group reads for about an hour, and then the last 30 minutes are for chatting, continuing to read, or more eating and drinking. It’s different from a traditional book club, because everyone chooses their own book to read. It’s a great way to meet new friends, learn about new books, and experience new local spots!

During the book club meet-up, Street Cheese will be serving hot and melty Raclette to keep the readers and beer drinkers going. Raclette is a Swiss style of cow’s milk cheese that melts like a dream. It is traditionally served hot and gooey over boiled potatoes with charcuterie and pickles. Street Cheese’s version is served like fancy Swiss nachos: hot Raclette melted over kettle potato chips with duck prosciutto and cornichon pickles.
