Plant-A-Seed Event

Join us on Sunday, March 19th for a community classroom event at the Ballard Farmers Market!

We will have special guests, award winning educator India Carlson of Ballard High and The King County Master Gardeners.
Learn about the essential role that pollinators play on farms and home gardens in an engaging and hands on environment. Horticultural educators from King County Master Gardeners & Ballard High School will be bringing their classrooms to the community for a neighborhood clinic in sustaining our local ecosystems through water, sunlight, soil, plants, and insects.
Student volunteers will be assisting with making seed bombs, seed planting and showing off their knowledge about native pollinators. Bring your questions. Plant a seed & take it home.
There will be Bee boxes!
India Carlson will give a guided tutorial on the bumble bees journey and identifying just what you’re looking at in that curious matrix of nature- Wow!
