At its heart, eating local means prioritizing a local-first ethos—choosing and celebrating the best flavors of the many regions our rich abundance of Washington State foods comes from. When we change what we eat with a focus on local eating, we change things for the better. Local food offers the best nutrition, produces less waste and supports local farming, sustainable agriculture and local economies. Eating local nourishes our families, and the communities we love. In a place with a rich history and tradition of food growers and production, eating the food of Washington State is both a gift and a pleasure.
